Michelle Chow

Clinical Psychologist
Michelle works with children, young people and adults, and is available Wednesdays and Friday afternoons.
Michelle is a Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and adults. She has a special interest in disordered eating, child and adolescent psychotherapy, and working with families, recognising the significance of relationships in recovery, healing and wellbeing. Michelle understands that reaching out for help can feel daunting and is committed to creating a warm, compassionate and collaborative space where everyone can feel safe to come and work towards meaningful change.
Michelle has experience across both public and private settings. She has worked in child and youth community mental health services, residential family services, and with individuals and families from refugee and culturally diverse backgrounds.
Michelle’s approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based and tailored to each individual’s needs. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Family-Based Therapy (FBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT).
Qualifications and Memberships
Michelle completed a Bachelor of Psychology with honours in Psychology at University of New South Wales and a Masters of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney. She has full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with endorsement in clinical psychology and is eligble to provide rebates under Medicare.
